What is Wikio?
Wikio is an information portal with a news search engine that searches press sites and blogs.
With Wikio you can very easily create pages to follow the breaking news that interests you. Our info is continuously updated!
Wikio is a participative service: you can publish an article directly on the site or comment on an existing item.
You can also vote for an article or a group that captures your interest in order to increase its visibility on the site.
Each page offers an RSS feed that allows you to subscribe to receive the information that appears there in the reader of your choice.
I enjoy a lot to be a part of it, not only because Wikio is a new website that will benefit to the whole web, but because it is the reunion of some of the best Internet inventors of the past few years. I enjoy a lot being a part of such an adventure because I can feel the passion of blogs and of the web in general through the team.
Wikio is a news web search engine created by Pierre Chappaz who previously founded Kelkoo. What is revolutionary with Wikio is that it’s searching through well known news websites and in the blogosphere. I think this is the real added value of Wikio even if the website is full of good surprises. The shopping part, for example, is very well done, and I also like a lot the live tab where you can see each new articles coming in. Since I am working at Wikio, I discovered so many interesting blogs and learned so much about this sphere that I am now convince and so enthusiastic about the great future of this mean of communication.

I was studying at IMEA Business School :
IMEA is a French business school located in Besançon. IMEA (European Management Institute in Business) is one of the famous French “Grandes Ecoles”. IMEA is a part of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Doubs and offers different educational programs. This school is very young and isn’t well known at the moment but I trust the students (my friends) to make it famous in the few years to come.
You can take a look at the 4th year program below. The education provided in French Business School is more or less the same from one to another. Students’ investment makes the difference in the rankings.
The good point at IMEA is the year abroad. IMEA International Business is a program in four years and the third year is done in a foreign country. I spent this year in Denmark but I could have chosen between Finland, England, Germany and Spain.

Besançon is my city :
Besançon is the 29th city of France with almost 120 000 inhabitants without the suburbs and more than 220 000 inhabitants counting the urban area. It is located in east France, nearby Switzerland, at equal distance from Lyon and Strasbourg (190 km), and at 2h30 from Paris by train.
There are many things to say about this city. Previously named Vesontio, it is full of history and has been courted by many kings and emperors. Besançon is built in a loop made by the Doubs River and surrounded by mountains all around. It was a great strategic place because of those properties and of its location. It is nowadays a wonderful place to live.
Besançon is the greenest city in France and offers many attractive walks and parks. The architecture has been marked by its history and shows many beautiful constructions. At his time, Louis XIV asked Vauban to fortify it and he did the job without counting so that the Sun King asked him if walls were made of gold!
Besançon is laureate of few nice rankings in France; best transportation network, greenest city, healthiest city, one of the first cities of France on Internet…
Nevertheless, the capitol of the Franche-Comté region doesn’t attract a lot of people. To live happily, let’s live hidden!

I’m a part of the Association 7padici :
Welcome in one of the most wonderful territory of France ; “Les Monts de Gy”!
Gy is a French village nearby Besançon and is also the main municipality of a larger territory counting 20 districts. One of those districts is Bucey-les-Gy where “7 pas d’ici”, an association of young and dynamic people, organizes concerts each year.
7 pas d’ici means something like: 7 steps from here, or it’s not from here, or whatever your imagination can invent. The association has been created in January 2005 to succeed to the previous association “Osmoze” directed by Romain Bader. The current president, Paul Grisot, leads the team to great events, and invites local groups to the concerts organized. Each year, at the summer day, France welcome a “music celebration” everywhere people are motivated to play music. In all cities, this event gathers many people together, around music, and in a great spirit of conviviality. 7padici organizes concerts each year at this time.
